Just wondering if anyone out there has heard of this bow or the company. Its made by Woodland Traditional Archery. The bow name is Woodland Trophy "M". It is a 3 piece takedown recurve. 48# at 28 and 58in. Shoots great and got it from my dad for only $150.

I could be way off here - but I think that the Woodland bows were sold by Lowell Theil of Sonshine Outfitters (I think that was what it was called).  Lowell had several outfitters that he was able to direct clients to.  If that is the bow, I believe that the bow was made by bowyer that makes the CheckMate bows.

As I said, I could be way off on this.

Thanks Rick. I will get some pics up as soon as I can. But it does look very similar to a checkmate.

My son has a Woodland Classic 1 piece recurve. It's very similar to Checkmates Falcon. They are very nice bows. Rick ,Yes Lowell THiell was the head of the company. But i'm not sure if they were made by the Checkmate bower. Three Fingers, You got a good deal on a great bow.

Definitely a CheckMate....great looker.

Looks like a decent bow to me. How's it shoot?

It shoots like a rocket. I love it. I also have an old Shakespeare Wambow 50# at 28 and 58in. I have never been that good of a shot with it not sure why. Then I got a 40\\45# bear blackpanther and am alot better with it but it is pretty slow. I have never shot a bow with as much power as my woodland or "checkmate". I'm more accurate with it and its PRETTY. LOL. Can someone tell me what wood is on the lombs. I'm a bit of a newbie still and I'm not sure of the woods. It any of you know would ya let me know.
Thanks
