I have some gt 7595's from my compound, i figured i might be able to put alot of weight up front to get them to work in my recurve. My problem is getting enough weight. I bareshafted them with a 425 gr point that i made ( 250gr + 38 special + 44 mag case) and they seemed about right. The only way i can see to get that amount of weight is with an adapter + woodyweight + glue on.

It seems like it would have to many failure points, or might be hard to get everything straight. I was just wondering if anyone has done anything similar to this.

I'll probably just try to remove the inserts using various methods ive searched.

Have you plugged your numbers into the Dynamic Spine calculator on this site. It will probably get you close. Without knowing the bow and its specs, your arrow length, weight of fields or broadheads this is a hard question to answer. The calculator has several areas to input your specifics and provides ways to make things work...but you don't know until you try it.

Schmidty3,
I use a 100 gr. brass insert, 125 gr. adapter, 190 gr. glue-on field tip and 15 gr. of small lead split shot in field point before glueing in adapter...equals 430 grs.
