what spine should i use

I'm looking to shoot beman Ics bowhunter shafts with 100 gr brass inserts and 250 gr points.I'm shooting a longbow #50 @ 27" and looking to shoot a 29" arrow.The longbow also has a fastflight string.What spine shafts should i try and what dia. brass inserts do they take.

I'd start with 400 and work down... with that much weight up front, 340 may work... but I am willing to bet 400 will be the way to go.  You may have to add or cut length to the arrow, so have 3 as a test set and go from there.

Good luck and don't get too crazy about it... I drove myself nuts trying to match arrows up.  After picking up a new BW PSR III, 57 lbs with Dynaflight string, it shot a FMJ Dangerous Game 300, cut to 30.5" with 300 grs up front like a dart... go figure.   :knothead:

I must have fat fingered because i want to shoot 150 gr points.....sorry.

In that case,I would think 500.
