anyone ever filled a carbon arrow with spray foam for added weight..thought it might work.Thought about shooting some to fill the entire shaft (with both ends of the shaft open..after it sets maybe use a drill bit to remove enough for the nock and insert...might even work for a weight forward shaft by using a hidden insert...it's late..I have some of my worst ideas late at night...

I have never tried it or shot carbon shafts for that matter but I don't think the foam itself would give you very much weight but then again I don't really know? Joseph

I would think the foam would do more to stiffen the spine than anything.

I have used the foam to quiten aluminum arrows. The problem is the foam will not cure without air. When you fill the whole shaft the ends dry and the center stays wet.It slams around when you shoot. Not good.If wanting to just quiten an arrow and add little weight the backer cord foam weighs very little and when put in the shaft full length will not move enough to hurt arrow flight. It will quiten a noisy shaft and can be removed without a mess. jmo
