Gonna be in the Macon GA area on the 21st, anybody know of anything of traditional archery interest in the area. Trad. shops, bowyers to visit, arrow suppliers etc. Thanks!

Hey Tim,
Sorry buddy, there is NOTHING like that here. The BassPro shop has and archery dept but if Joel Smith isn't there, the other guys will just make fun of you.
Give me a call and we'll have lunch if you want to.

Stay as far from Macon as you can. They are a little funny down there. They heat up burgers with a hair dryer!lol

So I'm told that is.

Better watch that lunch invite, you never know what might be the main course.  :scared:

Let me assure you, if you have lunch with Biggie, it WILL be good food. He has a "talent" for finding such places. Oh, and he's the finest feller you'd ever want to meet too.

Gene Sanders of G&L archery is about 2 1/2 hours North of Macon. He's a small shop but makes some beautiful bows. As mentioned, Big Jim is in Albany about the same drive time away.

Back around 1970 a fellow was interviewing Dwayne Allman. He asked Dwayne if he thought Macon was going to be the center of Southern music. Duane replied,"man, Macon ain't going to be the center of anything". He was right.

Actually there is a big, heavy, brass looking sign located in a church parking lot, on Bullard Rd., in Twiggs Co., about five miles this side of Jeffersonville, that claims that spot is the geographic center of Georgia.

Hey Biggie! I may just take you up on that. We will arrive the evening of the 2oth, pretty lat, but will probably be hanging around with nothing much to do until the early afternoon, and I have to feed my partner on a regular basis (if I don't I'm afraid he'll turn canible)a nice BBQ lunch would be great. My bud likes BBQ, his grandfather runs a Lexington Style place back home, so he's always looking for a new BBQ experience. My email is tsmith@pike.com (w) or tsmith747@gmail.com (h). Our plans will be a little more defined Mon. or Tues. so we'll try to settle then. Thanks for the invite for sure. Love to talk a little hog hunting!

Out loud...now when you get up around Gray things really start looking up.

Looks like Biggie has set a mighty fine trap for that poor tourist out of NC. You gonna' show him the gator farm after you load up on BBQ?

Seeing how that check is probably going to get a "deflection" off you and on him anyway, you might want to take them over to the Picadilly
Cafeteria, for some trout almondine, and show them a real good time.

Never been to Mocksville, but have had dealings with folks out of Gray. They are slicker than them people in that African country that run that flim-flam. Probably learned it from ya"ll too. Enjoyed learning from the Master.
