Is there an easy way to figure out how much draw wieght I would pull at 30in. draw vs. the standard 28in.? And what length riser do most companys use to figure wieght with the different limb length? For instance, if a guy has a 23in. riser, med limbs pulling 38# @ 28 what would I pull @ 30? Any good resources out there to help explain all the techie stuff involving ILF bows?  :help:

Give me a call and we can talk through it.  We jsut started selling ILF longbow limbs and custom build them to the weight, draw and riser of your choice.

8888blk: There is a lot of difference in the quality of ILF limbs. I have high end Winex limbs on my DAS bow. At 28" it pulls 60# and at 26" it is 54#. Do the math...it's about 3# per inch for my limbs. I think you would be at about 42-44# with the equipment description you posted. However, the caveat is the quality of the limb. Some ILF limbs are engineered so that the rate of buildup actually drops off to about 1# per inch simply because most ILF archers are target shooters that use a clicker...so they make the limbs so the build up in weight decreases at the final draw length. The only way to know for sure is to put the actual bow on a scale or call the mfgr. I'de talk to Wingnut if I were you....or Bob Morrison, or Jim Belcher. If you call Hoyt you will never get anyone who can answer your question....been there, done that.

Pete Ward has some information concerning ILF bows on his site. Information that I found very helpful since I am new to ILF and planning on getting my college age son an ILF riser and limbs. His site is peteward.com
