A little hunting poem " Only Hair!!"

Only hair! How could it be?
You were 20 paces from my tree!

Only hair! I cannot believe,
You fell for every trick up my sleeve!

Only hair! The shot felt great,
I planned on fresh tenderloins and staying up late!
 
Only hair! I sat and froze
My arrow took a path I had not chose

Only hair! Now thats not right,
I expected red snow, not white!!!

Only hair! I should be sad,
The thrill of the chase.... makes me glad.

It is a St. Joe River longbow 58 inches and 53@28 (about 51 at my draw). The riser is Tiger Maple and I believe Purpleheart. Very quick and forgiving!!
They have quite a bit of R/D yet are "D" shape when strung. Tracey did some art work on my riser, she is a very talented artist!

I've experienced that poem a few times myself, all except for the snow.

Actually if I penned it, "Only Air" would probably be a more appropriate title.
