Ok, watched a sort of corny show on the History channel called "Monster Quest" which was addressing huge bears that may be genetic through backs to prehistoric bears, DNA stuff that I don't get, but they were talking about black bears in NJ, and their guide to all this was a Trad. Archer/hunter with a Bear recurve and total bear setup. Had to be in to traditional, anyone know him, or have seen this.

I watched that same show lastnight and was wondering if he was a member here!
Its not the size of the animal you hunt that matters. Its how you hunt the animal.

In Jersey they had a lottery for bear,I believe and it was for North Jersey and I think they base it upon numbers. And black bears have just started to come back in the last 8-10yrs. Jersey's fish and game should be renamed Dumb and Dumber they wouldn't know how to spell DNA let alone pay for it to be done.I work for the State Medical Examiners Office and DNA is expensive and takes forever to research. Our f&g works out of a general fund and that fund is empty and has been for years. And you are correct if the arrow is knocked he is hunting and he has to be within the season Sept.-Oct. and then has to buy a permit Nov. and did he have his license properly displayed on his back. Thanks for letting me vent I feel like I lost 10 pounds.
