Broken Arrow 1

Well I am actually sitting in camp right now with the wood stove burning and coffee perculating. I am gonna be on this hunt for at least four days but might stay a little longer! I will post some pics tommorow (Hopefully one with the deer I hope to get!) But if I do not get a deer or turkey no big deal. I wish I could find the words to describe how being with mother nature refreshes my soul but I'm sure that most of the guys on this site already know!
Its not the size of the animal you hunt that matters. Its how you hunt the animal.

Good luck and looking forward to the pictures. Hap

I look forward to the peace and silence of a week hunt every year.  I live on a farm and have a regular job, work is never finished.  My hunting trip is a time where I can look at God's creation and admire it, with nothing pressing that I have to get done that day.  To get a buck is a bonus, to feel the peace is the goal...
But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. Psalms 3:3

Wary Buck

Broken Arrow, good luck.  I'm still seeing some good activity and good bucks.  It's looking to be a little on the chilly side here real soon, so lay in a good store of firewood.   :)

Jim I hope you're having fun up there, it's always a good thing to recharge especially on a wildman hunt. When you get back it's my turn- thinkin I may want to borrow your tent! Shoot straight, wind switched out today so I'm sure it's cold with the wind off the lake but should bring good hunting. Let us know if you're seeing anything. I didn't get out today, maybe tomorrow if I can get away.
ONLY IN THE WOODS AND FIELDS DO I FEEL ALIVE, LIKE A HUNTER FROM TIMES PAST, ALTHOUGH THE HISS OF MY ARROW GOES FORTH, I AM TAKEN BACK, IT IS MY ESCAPE...
