My Trad buddy just got a Groves Flame recurve. 45@28 56 inch. Does anybody know anything about this bow? We were wondering what the brace height should be and any history about the Grove line of bows. I cant seem to find any info about them doing a search. Are they good bows? Are the up to par with Bears ,Ben Pearsons in their day??
Thanks,
JT

Do a Google on Groves Archery. They are an excellent bow.

Is it a Flame or Flame Hunter? I would try 7 3/4 and go up from there.

I think Groves bows are better than the any Pearson or Bear I've owned or shot.
I grew up near Harold Groves shop and bought my first bow from him about 30 years ago.

Lot's of history on Groves bows.

I'd post this in the collecters forum as there are a few Groves collecters that hang around there.Rich Lopez owns several bows and has just a ton of info on Groves.bd
