Hi

I would highly appreciate it if you guys/gals could post images of your horsebows as well as specifications on them and images of kills made with them.

Thanks
Dox

Here is an antelope I took last year in Wyoming with a horn and sinew horse bow. 50 lbs.@ 26''50''long. Blew right through the antelope. Made for me by Mr. Ed Scott of Owl Bows in Grants New Mexico.

Thanks for sharing, do you think that a 55# horsebow would work for african game.

Benny Nganabbarru

Mike, that's a wonderful bow, fine animal and great photo! But, is it a horse bow or a self bow? I suppose it could be a horse bow if the Native Americans (some tribes thereof) used them from horseback... Come to think of it, I have a couple horse bows - like a Silvertip, a PLX - but that's because they've each hunted feral horses!

Dox,the sinew and horn are a great combo and work great together but I would think you would want at least 60 for the bigger African stuff.

Ben it's a horse bow in style made from selfbow material, some horse bows have a thin wood core along with the horn and sinew, some are all wood and sinew this is all horn and sinew with a tuft of hair on the upper limb.

Mike does Ed have a website? That is one cool looking bow.

No he don't have a website. You can reach him by phone 505-287-8134. He can send you info and tell you about all his bows. They look great and shoot just as good.

Thanks, Mike. Do you have a picture in side-profile of the bow? Cheers, Ben
