beman mfx

Is it hard to fletch the beman mfx with 5" feathers & still get good twist of degree? Did not know because the bemans are smaller shafts. Trying to decide on the bemans or the heritage from carbon express. Thanks

I've fletched the bemans and axis with no problem.  Once I got my jig set up right they fletch up easily with a good helical.

They were too thin for my liking, sold em and shoot Beman and Gold Tip 5/16...PR

Nope... they fletch up just fine.  Fly great and man to they hit nicely!

I plan on shooting a two blade, so do you think i could get by with 4" feathers? Does most of you shoot 4" or 5" ?

Never had a problem with them with as much helical as I can get. I even four fletch them. There used to be smaller diameter pultruded shafts...so problems with them, either.

I shoot 4" feathers on my Beman MFX 500 Classics. Generally speaking, the smaller diameter the shaft, the "easier" it is to stabilize them in flight. Thus, shorter feathers tend to work better on those than they do on large diameter shafts. I also use two blade broadheads with excellent results.

Agree with Thrillshooter, I went to 4" on all my skinny shafts, even with big broad heads they stabalize the Beemans and Axis shafts well.

Yeah i have the Beman MFX 500 Classics and i have Four fletch with 5inch feathers. Shoot with weight tubs and 225 grain set up with my WW's and they shoot good for me.

No problem here with 500's and a Blitz jig using 5" feathers.  I can get plenty of helical.

I shoot mfx 500's with 5" right helical and have no problem with the fletch at all.

I shoot axis and mfx. Last year I shot 5" feathers. This year I switched to 4" and the only difference I can tell is the 4" parobolics are a little more quiet. If your arrows are properly tuned they will fly the same with either.
