This season may turn out better than I expected. Last night I decided to take a drive out to check out my hunting area just to see what I could see. When I rounded the corner  to view the open field before me, I was no less than shocked! Deer were everywhere! I started counting and stopped at 80! At least 4 bruiser bucks and a bunch of little guys. One of the bruisers sported a real nice droptine off of his right side. Man, am I pumped up!! I'll post pics tonight, don't know how good they'll be as they were all 200 + yards away. I've never seen this many deer all together in the pre season!

Man you guys must have it going on in Nebraska cuzz I have a buddy who said he saw more turkeys in nebraska than anywhere in his life.  He is not a liar and he said the whole field he was looking at was covered with turkeys.
My maiden name was Orton so there is a good chance we are long lost brothers, so why don't you help a brother out and hook me up. he he he.  Good luck bud.

The most I've seen in a field is 6 during the rut last season (none in bow range).  My mind would be boggled by 80.  Best of luck to you this season.

And where did you say your hunting spot was ?--------------Bone    :bigsmyl:

That maiden name thing is prolly the funniest thing I will say on here all year so you boys better be laughing.

Doug, that's cool. I have yet to check out my hunting spots. But they are all public and get some foot traffic. Hope you connect on one of those bruisers. You got some great hunting area up there. Wish I was closer and had access.
See you at the NTA labor day?

Mo. Huntin, I didn't realize I had long lost relatives. We do have a bunch of turkeys, that's for sure.

Eric, if all goes as planned, I do plan on attending the NTA shoot, so I'll probably see you there.
