i thought they would be weak!

Just got a new recurve. 56@28 and I draw 28. I shot a couple dozen times today with my mfx classic 500's cut to 29" w/ 75gr brass insert and 150gr head. Probably around 540-550 total grains. I thought for sure they would be weak. They shot great! Does this seem weird?

Most people are confused by carbon arrows.  You will look a long time to find weak ones unless you are buying 600's or weaker.  The best bet is to think what you need for sure, then buy one size weaker.
