how many of ya hunt public land early in the morning?

We tend to get in early and hunker down somewhere by a tree or something.  We see deer lots of time at first light, sometimes before - curse their evil hearts, and sometimes later.

It's hunting.

If we aren't bivy hunting back in a ways then we walk in before daylight. Love the cool evergreen scent of the mountain forests as the world awakens.   Shhhhh, can you hear that bull chucklin' down below?  Oh yeahhhhh...loving it!

Yup, I like to get in early when I can. My hunting spot is 1 1/2 hours from my house so that makes it a pretty early morning.

it's all public land for me. you need lots of money to hunt private land around here.
