Bow Slings

Anyone on this forum have any experiance with a bow sling?Specificly one from  www.bowtote  .com On my elk hunt this year I'll be packed up the mountain but if I don't score I'll hike out.It tore my knees up last year,so this year I'd like my hands free to use trekking poles.So my main question is will this sling work with a full size back pack on?or should I just use my take down bow and dis-assemble it?
