I have a similar question as another post but I'll ask anyway. I shoot an Osage Indian style selfbow which is 55lb. at 20" of draw. Yes I know several of you folks just kringed. The bow shoots great, and I am currently shooting arrows in the 24-26" range with bamboo and river cane shafts weighing in around 325-340 with 135-160 self made trade points, so my total weights are around 460-500. I am wanting to shoot other types of arrows such as cedar, but am unsure what spine would shoot best from this setup. Suggest away...Please!

Thats a tough call, there are alot of variables. How close to center is the shelf or the bow is made?Your draw length? Most selbows I've had usally take a weaker spined shaft, sometimes 10-15# lighter the the draw weight. And some will be closer, but the are all different.Spine on wood arrows is done on 26" centers. You might have to try a few different spines out to see which ones will work better for you.
