I am also interested in seeing pics and hearing about your setups and performance b/c I am wanting to purchase a Bob Lee.

Kip

Great bows.I have two Bob Lee risers (one recurve one longbow) with multiple recurve and longbow limbs in diff. wts.but hunt mostly with some 54@28" 58" and 51@28" 58" length.I use mostly 2018's and 2016's and some cheap carbons that fly great. My older riser is a scaled down version no longer made but sure is sweet.

I love my lee an elite classic 60 in 48 and 49 pound curve limbs but I'm too computer illiterate for pics.  You will love yours as well.  Mine shot harder and more predictable than my then favorate bow bw psa that I had previously took to S. Africa.  My lee is going back to sfa in the #1 slot for 2010.  I shoot both 3555 29 inch with 250 upfront and 5575 3i with 275 upfront for hunting bigger game (600).  My 52 lb widow and 55 lb bighorn won't even shoot the heavier arrow well, but my little 48 bob lee throws em like a champ.

Here's mine.......'Old Ugly'

Not hunted with it yet. I traded for it, simply to get a longer bow, as I was having serious confidence issues with drawing a short bow. She's a 64" Classic drawing 62#@30" I really didn't expect too much out of it, to be fair, I honestly thought that I'd shoot it for a while, until I regained my confidence & then trade it on for something much better. Boy was I ever wrong! I LOVE this bow! I was expecting speeds in the mid 160s at best, but for a giggle I decided to chrono the bow down at Don Wilson's store. Shooting a 668gn MFX 340 (31-1/2" 100gn insert, 225gn point) it averaged out at 182fps from a string of 9 arrows!

I'm still not 100% sure I like the mass-weight of the bow -with a Great Northern strap-on & 5 arrows it's very heavy compared to my Morrisons- but it shoots so well & so smoothly, I think I can get used to it!
One thing I did do, was to sand off all the finish on the grip. The laquer is really slick & I couldn't grip the bow with a sweaty hand. Not pretty, but there again the rest of it's no oil painting either!  :D

Is there a difference in the longbow riser and recurve riser. If so what is the difference, i know that you can put either kinda limbs on each riser.

fisherick

Which TD recurve?
Bob Lee Signature 60" 54# @ 28" MFX 400 @ 610 gr.
BL limbs 60" 39# @ 28"  GT 35/55  400 gr.
BL Hunter 62" 43# @ 28" GT 35/55  450 gr.
One piece.
BL Hunter Signature 54" 45# @ 28" GT 35/55 450 gr.
Smooth and fast.

Brent Hill

If you want the speed and performance, just get the recurve td and I bet Rob could fit longbow limbs if you had to have em.  I've been very impressed with my speed as well.  Thats why I sold the widow and just hunt with it.

Gerardo

Mine is a signature short riser with longbow limbs, 53@27, 58" AMO I shoot several bows , and  others are much more prettier , but these one is stable and FAST, when the season gets in I know which bow is going hunting with me

Gerardo

I'm shooting a 62" TD Hunter 50# @ 28". I draw about 29.5".  I'm shooting 30.5" 2117's with 125gr points.
I really wanted the Elite Signature b/c of how beautiful it was, in fact, I bought it; but, this bow felt and shot alot better so I took this one home.  I'm not looking for another recurve.
I still have problems leaving the longbow home when I go hunting though!

Great bows, I have 2 recurves, just a word of caution I know Bob and Rob well and live about 45 minutes from their shop. Do not ever go to their shop or it will cost you money. When you walk in and see all of their bows and handle them you will fall in love and spend money! You will never deal with better folks!

Bob Lee Classic TD Recurve
45 @ 25" - (52 @ 28")
58" long.

Shoots 2018's, 2016, 2020, 5575 GT, and 65-70 POC's just fiiiiiiine...

Love my Lee.

Herdbull

I have a Bob Lee Signature 66#@31" on a 64" TD frame. I had to change the rest and put a thinner side plate to get my 32" 2219s to fly. The bow is very fast. I make my own recurves and its tough to know which ones to shoot. Gracie at Bob Lee has been very helpfull with bow and general archery orders. Mike
