i want to make some screw in adapters to put on these wood shaft sizes. what i'm trying to do is roughly bareshaft a wood shaft with the screw in adapter then take it off and haft a stone point the same weight and then fine tune. i'm trying to avoid bareshafting with the stone point on there.

Border black douglas recurve 70# and 58# HEX6 BB2 limbs

I'm not home, but if memory serves I footed a few with 2314 shafts, nice tight fit.

Good luck!

It might be easier and give a more accurate result if you just taper and glue on the points to bare shaft. Stop when you are getting close and showing weak then just cut off 1/2 to 3/4 of the taper and cut your slot to haft. Should only need minor adjustments from there.
