Anybody try the Outback Supreme Fe 220 grain single bevel screw-on broadheads ?

SlowBowinMO

I've not tried them, but they look pretty good.  I have tried their other (older heads, before the improvements) and found them a little crude but very functional.  They do tend to fly really well that's for sure.

With the Outbacks, you need to make sure you have plenty of extra arrow length to account for the rear overlap of the blade.

ya iv shot them
and seen one kill a Water buff
nice heads strong and heavy
a little narrow for my liking though
steal is hard and holds a good edge when sharp
There is more to the Hunt.. then the Horns

Several years ago for about two years, I attempted to have made for me a huge quantity of what Woody claims in his web blurb is coming -- that is, all steel Supreme, 1.8 mm blade, steel ferrule, single bevel, tanto tip. I believed then, as I believe now, this is probably the finest screw-in blade. I specifically include the "Ashby" because its mechanical advantage is nowhere as advantageous. That's the good news.

Notice the time frame. And its still coming "real soon." That's the bad news.

Am I going to buy the gold anodized version whose stock he wants to exhaust? I'm ambivalent.

Am I going to buy its replacement in large quantity, the broadhead I believe is nearly perfect? Abso-effing-lutely!!
It's so simple to be wise. Just think of something stupid to say and then don't say it. Sam Levinson
