Wondering if anyone knows what string material was used on this bow?  I think it maybe Dyna 97 or 450+ but I'm not sure.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Mike

Jesse Peltan

I think he uses 8125 but I am not sure.

Unless he's changed recently, he uses 450+.

Not sure if they still make the Grayling Spirit since Javaman started as the bowyer. Might send Ron an email and ask him, not sure if the Grayling was ff or not.

Chad nailed it, ron's strings for the Shrews are 450+ to the best of my knowledge.

I sent an email to Ron but haven't heard back yet.  I guess I should also call John McCullough since he's the bowyer that made it.  I bought the bow used awhile ago but missed placed my notes on the string, but I remember John telling me it was not Dacron.  Just can't remember if it was the same as the Super Shrew (450+) or something else.

As far as I know, Ron sent 450+ w/ his bows but the recently produced 59ers I've owned
had either Dyna 97 or 8125.
I'd love to find a Grayling Spirit, I don't think all that many were made.
Maybe Ron will see this and have more info.

Thanks for the Pics Mike, its a sweet looking bow. I take it this was the precursor to the McCullough 59'er?
