Just a few short weeks ago I got my new Bear's Paw.  It is 59#'s @ 25".  I am trying to shoot the Beman's 400's out of it.  I got a bare shaft down to 27" and with a 125 gr. field point it is showing just a tad bit stiff.  When I go to broadheads, I will be increasing my weight to 160gr.  How much more will I need to cut off the end of my arrows to hit the correct spine, or would I be better off going to the 340's and weighting up the front?  Also I will be using the weight tubes in the 400's.
Thanks in advance,
Tim

I guess if we run into the bear that is making these tracks, we oughta just get off the trail.......He seems to like it!

Adding wt up front will make a weaker spine,
cutting it shorter will make a stiffer spine.
When adding 35gr with your BH it may fly great, because of the added wt. I wouldn't cut off any more until you try the broadheads.
I always hit where I'm aiming, but rarely where I'm looking.

you can buy a dozen field points for about $4.00
I'd buy some more close to the weight of bhs your going to hunt with.

Tim, the only way to find out for sure is to shoot them, but my guess is that the 160's will work without alteration if the 125's are a bit stiff.
