I'm entertaining the thought of 66" limbs on a RC riser. Just wondering if anyone has experience with this set up? Stored energy, smoothness, etc....

I shot a guys 68" this past winter down in Texas.I couldn't tell the differance between mine (64" with a 16" riser) and his as far as being smooth, speed and all that.

I shoot a 68" ACS-CX that, at my 29 draw comes in right at 70#.  Not many of us out there that shoot that particular configuration.

68" fits exactly perfect at the right height to steady my binocs at eye level.

Understand that you'll loose about 3-4 lbs draw weight from whatever those limbs are marked as.  :scared:

Does this mean a 50@28 will "feel" like a 47lb bow, or does it mean that I'll actually be shooting a 47lb bow?

Casey and Mike,
All of our limbs are tested and weighed on a 14" riser.  When mounted on a 16" riser you will typically lose only 0.7-1.0# at 28" in the 45#-50# range.  Mike, your much heavier limbs may lose a bit more than 1#, but I'd be surprised if they lose 3-4#.  I've never seen anything beyond 1# difference between the 14" and 16" risers.

Okay John, you are the undisputed recognized authority on the A&H limbs...my rook bows to your King...  :)    and I stand corrected.

Bottom line on the bow, it's a nice bow setup to shoot and the customer service is second to none.

Well Mike, I think I have actually been wrong once or maybe even twice so far this year.  So it's entirely possible for me to make a third mistake!  But I'm pretty sure of my facts on the limbs.
