My new Cheyenne Carbon/Foam core "A" 52lb@27" limbs came in yesterday afternoon. I mounted them up on the Cheyenne A riser I already own to make a 54" bow and put a custom 10 strand 8125 string on the bow. Limbs turned out real nice anyone that owns/owned one of Bobs bows knows how well the fit/finish is on his bows. I was shooting a very nice set of "B" bamboo limbs that were fast and very quiet. The main reason I ordered new limbs was to go from a 56" bow to a 54" and went with carbon/foam core after talking to Bob on the phone.I shot the new limbs this morning a few dozen times they are fast, quiet, and very smooth to draw. I don't have time to run any arrows through my Chrony today but will tomorrow to see if I gained any speed or not over my B bamboo limbs. Overall I can already tell I am going to like these limbs alot.

For hunting to have a future, we must invest ourselves in future hunters.

Im interested to know what the avg. gain in speed is when going from bamboo to carbon/foam. Like you,had a Morrison that I put carbon limbs on,and there was a noticable difference, but I didnt have a chrono at the time. Beautiful bow.

I couldn't stand not knowing myself so I setup my Chrony in the Man room and shot a 10 shot average. The new carbon/foam core limbs 52lb@ 27" were 9 FPS average faster than the "B" bamboo limbs 53lb@27" I owned. To be honest I only expected them to be maybe 5 FPS faster so 9 FPS is a nice surpise. Also that makes them the fastest bow I have shot through my chrony so far and I have some other very fast bows even though my 27" draw does not do them justice.

Nice Cody.  Are you bring this one to TX on our hog hunt?

I figure I will bring two bows on the trip and this one should make the cut it shoots really, really good. I have been working on cutting my bow numbers back to around a half dozen of the best of the best bows I own. The bad part is the bows I have left all shoot so well it's hard to pick one to hunt with anymore. I still have a Morrison 54" carbon/foam core ILF longbow and A&H one piece bocote longbow coming then I am slowing down on new bows for a while I swear this time it's true!

Nice looking riser, too!

My first thought was,   "man if I had a hoe I'd kill that thing" ...   :biglaugh:

Just kidding, Bob makes a great bow. If I didn't have my own bows I'd probably be shooting one of his. Now if you tell him that I said that I'll deny it...   :D

Ron I have several of your longbows but I still found room for a few of Bobs on the rack also!
