I am heading to florida somewhere around October/November of 2010 I want to do some hog hunting and Possibly a gator hunt. My questions are Do I need a license to hunt hogs?  We are heading to Cross Creek Fl and was wondering if anyone knows of any good hog spots around there? Are certain lakes off limits to Gator hunting? I checked on the florida fish and wildlife website but could not find any specific answers. Thanks in advance for any help.
Its not the size of the animal you hunt that matters. Its how you hunt the animal.

the gator tags are a lottery drawing system. And not a good system at best. The lottery started 2 days ago and will go for a couple weeks. Go here:   http://www.myfwc.com/docs/LicensesPermits/Quota_Work_0910_Alligator.pdf

As far as hogs, you will be there during deer season so you will need a license because you will be using "deer hunting equipment. There are plenty of pay for the day places in fl where you would not need a license they would be your best bet for a short trip.

good luck to you!
