I am continually amazed at the beautifully spliced fletchings that some of you guys make. These are not as complex as some. But I think they are coming along. Kind of fun too.  Thanks for inspiring me to try something new!  David

Thanks. These are 95# Surewood Shafts. They flew beautifully out of my 55# Blacktail.

Those look great. Just curious, what kind of stain did you use on the shafts?

snag

Spike, I used the cherry Miniwax stain. These douglas fir shafts really take stain nicely. I'm so impressed by the Surewood Shafts. The grain really looks great when stained.

Looks good to me. Make plenty for turkey season next year! TreeKiller mentioned the Medford area for lots of birds next year. Stay in touch and let me know what you think.

Once I get my work bench set up, I might touch base with you and have you show me how too do that.
