Time to give something back?

I've been so blessed in life.  I have a great family and great hunting grounds, here in NC.  No world-beaters (that I know of, or have seen) roaming my woods, but a 100" buck has been achievable in my last 3 seasons (compound hunter, formerly).

It's time (in my eyes) to give something back.

2 part post....

1.  If you know of a US soldier (Active duty or  Veteran), stationed in NC, that would like the opportunity to bowhunt (and possibly gun hunt) whitetails for a day or two, PM me with the details.  I'll make it happen.  Former active duty/disabled vets are fine.  If you know of an org. I could contact to make this happen, please PM me with that contact information, also.

2.  Follow suit.  Let's show these guys how much we appreciate what they're doing for US (no pun intended....it just worked out, that way).

I'm on staff with a well-known camo mfr., and I'll provide him with a suit at no cost to him/her.  Brand is unimportant.

Pay it forward.

Thanks for your help.

Chris Surtee is a member here stationed in Iraq right now. He'll be back the end of the summer. His family is in Florida now. He'd be a good one for you.

Russ Clagett is a member here who has done two or three tours in Afghanistan among other places who is now stationed in Texas and would be a great choice also.

Good of you to do this.

For hunting to have a future, we must invest ourselves in future hunters.

Just to give a little more info.

I'm not an outfitter (by ANY means).  I'm just a hunter.  I don't have boarding.  I just have grounds.  That's why I suggested a NC hunter.  If someone from outside the state wants to make the trip, that's fine.  Get in touch.

This is an amazing this that you are doing for our soldiers. People like you keep hope surviving in this world when there is so much trouble.

I'm downright crabby at times, but I have a huge soft spot for the guys making us safe (as do all of you, I'm sure).

I just have the grounds and I'll make the time.  Nothing noble about it, really.  I should have done this a couple years ago.

I'd appreciate all of your help in finding these guys.  I'm a trad. novice, but I know where the deer are (taken over 20 by bo win the last 3 seasons).  I've had friends hunt with me here for the last 3 seasons and I've yet to have one of them NOT get a shot at a big game animal.

It's just time.  Let's make it happen.

pebowbender will probably be hunting with us.....and a finer person and trad shot....I haven't met.  It ought to be a good time for all.

I've just secured some new grounds, also.  Great potential.

Noble Gesture, and I'm sure if Chris can't make it he can definately suggest some deserving members, well done.
