I just gave a bow to a buddy and he's having some problems with arrow flight.  I keep telling him his aluminum arrows are way over-spined, but I really don't know squat about any kind of arrow material other than wood.  Kelly Peterson used to have an on-line chart that gave spines for aluminum arrows I think.  anyone know where to find that or something similar now?  My buddy went off the Easton chart for his arrows and I just spined one out for him and it's way too heavy.

If no chart, how about advice on which aluminum arrow to use for a 29 inch back of point, 125 grain tip, 43 pound longbow cut to 1/8" before center with a dacron string?

Thanks!

Try 2016 cut at 30". Easton's chart does tend to over spine especially with bows that are not cut to/past center.

i agree totally on easton being over-spined. my BW longbow at 44# shoots 2016 at 29" and 125 point great. my bow is cut to center though. so i would suggest starting somewhere around 1916 at 29" or what shaun said with 2016 at 30".

1816 or 1916.
This is a bow that is NOT cut past center, and a Dacron string, right?

I lean toward 1816. Try them both!
