how to get off a leather handle that is stuck on

I removed the leather handle to a bow is just got and how do you get off the last layer that is really stuck on i have tryed rubbing alchol and a tooth brush whats the best way to get it off with out scatching the bow

hair dryer heat, clean up the residue with naphtha (lighter fluid)

The best way to remove the final layer of leather and the old glue is with a good sharp cabinet scraper.You can shave the old layer off real easy and fast with a good scraper.Actually a good super sharp knife will work just about as well.Takes about 3-5 minutes to clean said area for reglueing new grip.bowdoc

second what scttershot suggested... I would caution using any tools...  :)

I suppose you could soak it in Goo Gone; but it will be a miracle if it comes off without the help of tools. Sandpaper, scrapers or a rasp will reduce the time required. If bowdoc says 'scraper' you can count on it.
