A little while ago I posted a topic about bow quivers that could handle grizzly and 300 xtreme broadheads.  I had it narrowed down to the Kanati and a quiver from EFA.  Shortly after my post, Don Ward started making quivers specifically to fit the longer broadheads.  I decided to order the EFA quiver because I was pleased with my prior EFA purchase.  Here are some pics.  Not the best photos, I know.

Some observations.  I haven't hunted with the quiver, but it is very light(the 4 arrows that I use weight considerably more than the quiver).  It doesn't budge once put on the quiver.  Very pleased with that aspect of the quiver.  The wedge on the hood is a great idea.  On my earlier model quiver without the wedge, the hood would angle away from the quiver when placing arrows into the quiver.  No longer.
I'm not certain if the talon straps help in this quiver or not.  As I said before, it doesn't budge at all, but it is possible that the aluminum rod has alot to do with this.  The talon straps are a little more difficult to take on and off quickly than the earlier versions, but I don't think that is a very big deal.

All in all, I am very pleased so far.  I have a friend that has a kanati quiver that I am going to check out in a couple of weeks.  I'm not ruling out getting one of those too, as they seem to be a great product as well.

I have one of Don's Talon quivers, and it is the best bow quiver that I have used to date.

A very close second is the Boa Small Fry. Looking over John Dill's offerings, I would like to try them too. We are very fortunate to have these fine craftsmen producing such high quality gear. Truly, equipment for bowhunters made by bowhunters. These really ARE the good old days!

Sure is a good looking quiver! Don's quivers are top notch!

Don is truly a custom maker. I have bought 6 quivers from him over time and 4 were "made to order". He did them exactly how I wanted them, with a smile on his face and actually even excited about trying something he hadn't been asked to do. Nice to have someone who goes all out to get you exactly what you want. Only quiver I've got on my bows now.

Thanks for the good words. Our goal is to make a quality product and in a lot of sizes and flavors. If we don't have it we probably will do it for you. We can do that because we make all of our quivers in the shop here in Mebane, NC, USA.

Joe, I won't tell anyone that you sent me a tee shirt to make a quiver from if you won't. By the way, how is it standing up?

Killdeer, you're going to Tenn. aren't you? I have never been to this event but intend to go this year. As a kid I lived about 30-35 mile from there for a couple of years. Wow, has that been a long time ago.
