Anyone shoot the snuffer ss heads? Thinking about trying them.

Benny Nganabbarru

I'm about to try a few (they're on their way). I did enjoy the normal 125-grain screw-in Snuffer.

what did you shoot with the snuffers ben?

i'm also thinking of trying a snuffer or woodsman. mainly for foxes and the like.
Thick fog slowly lifts
Jagged peaks and hairy beast
Food for soul and body.

Keep me posted Ben
Hey ozy hows the travelling going

They're my favorite heads.  I'm a little bias-- Magnus is a Kansas-grown co.

I'm not a fan of big heads or two-blade.  The SS is a great compromise-- three blades for good blood trails and low profile for good penetration.  They're sharp out of the package, easy to resharpen (I use automotive wet-dry sandpaper in multiple grits and a leather strop), and tough.  Best of all, they have a lifetime replacement guarentee.

This setup is a 45# Falcon, GT 3555 with 50 gr brass insert, and 125 Snuffer SS.  I'm switching to 100 gr inserts and a 46# High Sierra.

Bronz thats a nice buck    Think I will pick some up your setup is like mine BW pmav 46# gt 3555 100gr insert 125gr point they come out @ 10gr per pound.

BRONZ

Thanks for the compliment.
Yeah, your setup is real close of mine.  I just tuned my High Sierra last night-- arrows came out around 10.6 gr/lb.  You won't be disappointed with the SS.  I've sent one back to Magnus with a rolled point and had a new head in less than a week.  If you send them trophy photos, they'll send you a hat or t-shirt!

What are the differences between it and the WW.  I'll have to go look at-em I s'pose. Sounds like something I might like.

Manolito...love that buck Brother. And that smile. Congrats.

The SnufferSS is my goto head. I've taken elk with the Woodsmans & SnufferSS in 125grn with 50grn adapters. The SnufferSS is my preference with the woodsman in 2nd.
Nothing out penetrates that 3-blade in the 3-bladed class. This head is a blood producer & that's always a huge plus for us in thick heavy brushed terrain. It's one tough head. I shoot it out of a longbow at 56# at my draw. My arrows have been in the 485grn to 540grn.

They have the same cutting diameter, but the WW is 3" long vs the SS being 1 1/2".
I smile in ALL my trophy photos.  I don't understand the "serious look" during a moment that proud?!    :goldtooth:

Elknut1, that's a great bull!  Have you got a link to the details?

Bronz, excellent whitetail !!!! By the way, I never smile in any photos, don't know why just never have! (grin) Here's another a few years back, no smile! (grin)

Bullfrog- That particular bow is a 60# BearsPaw by Neil Jacobsen in MT

Babaloo-- No, that was an ID Bull from 3 years back, 26 yard shot, snufferss, drove the shaft to the feathers quartering away. 150 yard death run.
