Hi Guys, I've been a member for a few months and have been watching everyone talk back and forth about their new bows. All I had was a Bear Kodiak Hunter (saving to pay Uncle Sam)until now, when I called Morrison Archery and talked to Bob about a trial bow. He is sending me his own bow that is ILF with the new carbon recurve limbs.  I really had my heart set on a Cheyenne any opinions out there? Needing help since I am not able to shoot a lot of different bows.

First off that's mighty big of Bob...loaning his personal bow out to a stranger....Kudos to him.

Go to some shoots in your area and ask around...or maybe there is a member here that has one within driving distance for you?
Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils.

Whatever you get from Bob trust me, you will be very happy with.

I chose the Cheyenne simply because I like the lines of it and the looks better. I have never shot an ILF but I'd say they are very nice. Plus they give you the option of adjusting draw weight +/- 5 pounds. As stated either way you go you will most likely love it.

Maybe there are some trad gangers here from Arkansas close by that wouldn't mind if you came by and gave their Cheyenne a try.

I believe Bob's ILF bows use the Cheyene riser, which is inletted to accept ILF limbs.

I recently shot a Morrison ILF riser with carbon limbs at vermonster's place.

THE BEST shooting bow I've EVER had in my hands...I don't think you'll be disapointed.I literally had to hand it back to him because if I shot it anymore it was coming home with me...  :readit:

The ILF is very close to the Cheyenne riser but each is a little longer except for the mini 14

The only problem that you will have is sending Bob his bow back. I think that once you shoot it you will be spoiled. I have a Cheyenne and get compliments on it at every shoot I attend. That's just on how it looks. It shoots great too. I'm sure that you will like the ILF feature too.

I have shot the bow that Bob is sending you. It is identical to mine except for the riser materials. The ILFs are great bows. I like them as much as my Cheyennes. They are more adjustable and are much easier to take down and re-assemble. That bow of Bob's shoots great. You will love it. If I had to choose only one Morrison it would be the ILF with the Mini-14 riser like mine and Bob's. Of course, I have 7 Morrisons in all the takedown models.    :D

I want to thank everyone for their input, this is a big step for me and I want to try and make sure I make the right one.  Yes Bob told me the same thing and that it would very hard to send it back, but I sure like the looks of the gaboon ebony and bocote riser. As everyone has said he is a very good guy to send me his bow with just a phone call.  If everything goes as planned I will soon be ordering a bow just have to make my mind then what to put on the limbs to match the riser.    :bigsmyl:

You'll look far and wide to do better than Mr. Morrison! 5 of them hanging on my bow rack. Have fun!
