Hey guys, I was out shooting my new to me Morrison Cougar today.  It's 60" and around 54# at my 27" draw.  It really seemed to like 27 1/4"  2216 tipped with 175 grain tips.  I would think this to be a little stiff for this setup and was wondering if this is the norm for Morrison's to like a stiff arrow.  Bareshaft tuning at about 18 yards has the fletched and unfletched arrows touching each other.  Thanks a lot, Mark

Yup, I had a Morrison Cheyeene that was 54#@28" and it really liked a 2216 29" long with 125 grains up front.

I have to say mine are the opposite. I shoot Arrow Dynamic Trad Lites 29" with 350 up front(125 BH,125 steel insert, 100grain brass insert)and they fly just right, bareshaft and all. Lighter tips shoot a little stiff. At least out of my set-up. Keep in mind the difference in archers with release and shooting form in mind.

Mine all like a stiff, heavy shaft.  Talk to Bob,  he'll be more help than any of us.

Yup usally around 15-20#s more spine at a persons draw, they are cut well past center so they are not real spine critical, but like a stiffer shaft. Shawn

I have the same problem with my new ACS.  I have started building out the side plate with leather and until my 2020's flew good.  I was surprised at how much I had to add.  The first bare shaft missed and hit the edge of the target to the right and bent then I says rut ro Houston we have a problem.  So you can tune a bow to an arrow.

I have a Shawnee on order and will be 60#@28. Talking with Bob it will probably take a 340 spine shaft with around 300g. up front! We'll see!

Sounds perfect! I have an almost identical setup. Shawnee 60#30" Beeman MFX 340 with 300 up front. Like the proverbial lazer  ;)
