I'm in the process of remodeling my basement.  "Man-Cave" if you will!

I made a thread the other day asking how you guys commemorated your first traditional kill.  I'm still not "there", but I'm thinking positively for this fall.

What I've come up with is two scenarios:

1.  Buck - SHoulder mount
2.  Doe - I want to have the hide tanned and stretched on the wall.  I'd like to make a shadow box for the arrow and attach a brass plate stating ony the date.

My question is....do any of you guys have photos of a single arrow shadow box?  I'd like to get an idea of how others have done this.  "Rustic" would rule the day, I suppose.  Weathered barn wood would seem to be the way I'm leaning.

I'm currently in "build" mode....which doesn't happen often....lol.

Thanks.

Jeff. You could make a shallow shadow box  and line the back of it with birch bark, then take birch stems and line the outside rim of the box, could look real cool and as I think of it I may put one together for my first kill. Like you am looking forward to the fall.
Hope you got birch in your part of the world.
Keep the wind in your face and the sun at your back.
