Recurve bow with a longbow style handle

I want to make a recurve bow form one that will use a longbow grip similar to a binghams longbow grip, (like the short Widow recurve). What size would the handle be for the bow? I'm looking to make a 1 1/2" wide 54-56" recurve. Would I be able to use a typical R/D longbow form but recurve the ends? How could I figure out my lam thickness for 45# draw weight? Can anyone help?
