Beavertail grip saddle

When I got my superghost--Jerry put a saddle on it for me.The little bit extra leather in there made all the difference in the world.--I can't do pictures.

Well, I sanded the skin and soaked it. It's on the riser now wrapped in the Ace bandage. I kinda' made a grip/saddle. I'll post a pic of it before gluing.

Ok.....I didn't post a pic of the saddle before gluing. Sorry.

Two things I did wrong that I will learn from. I wrapped the Ace bandage so tight when the skin was drying to the shape, that now you can see the weave pattern. Also when I glued I wrapped one way. What happened is the saddle moved with the wrap. Next time I'll criss-cross the wrap so it stays in center.

All in all I'm very happy with it. It feels good without adding any bulk. AND looks pretty to boot!

That looks GREAT! nice design. You really don't have to wrap it when you glue it on. The saddle form fits to the handle from soaking it up,wrapping and drying overnight.
