I need some help. I love the look of Osage but i like the feel of the bambo cores in the limbs. So where the help comes in is you Widow owners that have pulled both bambo cores and the soild osage limbs, do you feel a differance in the draw?

Also any pics of PTF's with Osage riser and a diffrent limb wood or any Widow with Osage riser and differnt limb woods.

Man this is going to be hard picking woods.

I have a PTFX, all bacote with bamboo cores.  I have also shot the Widow with Osage cores.   I can feel the difference, and like the bamboo.  I have quite a few different bows on my racks, and have shot most (if not all) of the bows people rave about.  I also enjoy shooting many types and makes of bows, and will continue to do so. But if I could have just one bow, it would be a Widow PTF.

Hey Pops,  I had a Stunning PTFX in striped osage and cocobolo riser. The pic's on here are deleted. It was 58" 56#28 and was a real shooter. I bought it from T.A.C. as new. I sold it because I just like longer bows. It pulled real smooth for a 58" bow with no stacking. If that bow was 62", I would still have it. As for the osage it had a ton of striping in it.

Here is a Cocobolo/Osage PTFX I used to own.  I posted it here a while back trying to find out where she is.  I would like to buy it back some day.  Regarding the cores.  I really can't tell a difference between the birch, bamboo, or osage.  Best thing about osage is that it just keeps getting prettier...Mike

Pops, I have a golden anniversay PA that is osage in the core.  I also have a PAX cocobolo veneer with bamboo in the core.  both bows are 60 inches long and 44lb at 28.

The bamboo limbed bow is smoother, and faster than the osage.  The osage ain't no slow dog, but bamboo is better.

I currently own a PGA w/Osage and have owned several PSA's w/bamboo. Like others have stated the boo is a bit smoother and quicker, but it's not much of a difference.

i can tell a differince between models i believe the v models with bamboo are quicker, one of the quickest bows i have shot was a psav widow at 54 lbs they are not all the same for sure!

I had quite a few Widow recurves and still have 2 BW longbows---a PL X osage and a PL V ironwood. The ironwood is the go-to longbow.Out of all the differant BW recurves I had,my favorite was a TF V.Regret letting that one go
