I have shot out of Summit Open Shot for years.  It's light and it does not impede your shot options what so ever!  I believe the latest model is called the Open Shot Deluxe.
Pioneers like Fred Bear gave us all a wonderful gift... the ability to exit the rat race and stalk quietly through the woods.  Thanks Fred!

sounds like you need a lone wolf

I have used a Lone Wolf hand climber all year and love it. You can put the bungee cord around the tree to hold the top section in place and fold it against the tree. Then there is nothing at all to get in the way . You can almost shoot behind the tree. Best bow hunting stand I have ever used.

Lone Wolf Alpha and LW sticks. I have 5 different stands, all different types and brands, and the LW is the only one that goes with me into the woods.

Biggie,

Do you strap the top part of the stand?  I've thought about it, but it sounds scary!

The most comfortable loc-on I've ever used is a Millenium loc-on, I could sit in it all day and be fine. The most shooter friendly loc-on I've tried is the Lone Wolf Alpha's. As far as climbers go, I use a API Bowhunter and will put a Summit seat on it this spring IF I don't break down and get a Lone Wolf HandClimber.
I will chose the satnd that best fits my needs for the hunt. If I'm going to sit more than 4 hours I want the Millenium, four or less the Lone Wolf, or my API Bowhunter.

I would strongly suggest that you try before you buy. I do not like a climber or any stand for that matter that has any kind of rail, bar or anything else that comes past the front edge of the seat, and I've never liked to "sit and climb" in any stand so a open front style stand is all I ever consider. Alot of people just aren't comfortable with this style stand though, different strokes for different folks. Try a few and find out what matters/works for you.

Mel, I have enough belly that I don't strap the top. It pushes down on the rail and holds the tree nicely!

I really should I guess but I figger once I sit down, it sets the top section into the tree so deep. I have to smack up on it before I start down.

Of course I never lean to eithe side, just straight off the front.

Dang Biggie 5 climbers already

I'm bettin thats not the norm LOL .I guess since mines been out in the swamp since opening day of gun season (locked) it could be missing but other than that it's not likely I'd buy another anytime too soon.

I've made a bunch of chain on's and ladders out of conduit. Those stay put most of the time,I've just not gotten around to grabbing my climber yet which normally doesn't stay but my pack was full of meat that day
Shoot straight and have FUN!!
