Saw it for the first time last night. Skipmaster sent it to me to and WOW!!! Usually the family doesn't watch hunting videos with me, but little by little, we ended up having all of us on the bed watching.
The elk segment really got my son and daughter excited. I now have a future elk hunt in the making ,LOL!  :clapper:
I think this video should be shown at schools or anywhere that involves explaining why we hunt.
Just one more step please!

Some dude with a stick and string chasing things.

Skipmaster1

Amen buddy! I knew you'd like it. I think everybody should watch it as well

Big Ed

Hands down the best production available. My 3 yr.old watches it at least once a week. Big Ed

Arwin,

What I think of it is written right on the DVD cover!

The Brothers of the Bow DO have a special condensed version made just for going into the schools; I believe the price on it is lower as well.

I'm sure Mike Mitten will have some Primal Dreams DVDs along with his new book at Kalamazoo.

Thanks Arwin- To us Primal Dreams is one of a kind, and even though we are in the process of creating another video film, we hope to use what we learned from PD to again stimulate thought, emotion and discussion.
SteveO is correct we do have a condensed 50 minute version of PD available for classroom, church groups, scouting events, hunter's safety etc. Please checkout brothersofthebow.com (TG sponsors). AND yes my new book "One with the Wilderness" (Passions of a Solo Hunter) will soon be available (see ordering information on Brothers of the Bow site). I would not say that it is a book version of Primal Dreams, but I hope that you can see similarities between the two regarding respect, passion and the romance of the hunt. Thanks, Mike

I just watched it for the 1st time this weekend as well.  Amazing!  It is rare to find a hunting viedo, or anything for that matter, that captures what I feel when I am in nature.  Being a woman, I am always fielding questions form people on why I love hunting.  Primal Dreams is it.  The awe of nature as God created it.  Nothing is more amazing than becoming part of nature.  Blending in and watching things take place that most of the world never take the time to see.  Great film!  I plan to pass it around to many friends and family.

Keefer- Thanks for the kind words on the book order. There is a spiritual feel to this book... I think you will enjoy the chapter called "Primal Dreams". Mike

Hands down the best film ever made!   :readit:      :)   I had 2 copies and I just sent one to a soldier to share with the troops in Iraq. To me this film and it's contents are available thanks to our soldiers. Other countries don't have the freedom to hunt like we in the USA do.
Arwin, if you liked the film you should definitely attend our MTB banquet....Mike Mitten is our guest speaker this year!    :bigsmyl:

Bonebuster

I never tire of watching this film.

In the early mornings, when deer season is still months away, I sip coffee, and enjoy the up close, crystal clear footage of our beloved whitetails.

The movie as a whole is great, but the whitetail segments are my favorite.

The movie never even gets put away with the rest of our video collection. It has a place of honor, ready for easy access at all times.  :)

Onions

Probably the best $20bucks I ever spent!!
I have enjoyed it for a number of years, and now my daughter (18mos) LOVES it. Especially the moose and elk.
She wakes up in then morning grunting like a bull moose!!!
She has a incredible fascination with the moose. I have to take her to the local hardware store every week, to see the moose they have on the wall. She will stand under it, point and grunt!!!

I just received the condensed version last week that I ordered from 3-Rivers. I ordered it to share with friends, family, church groups and etc.
Now I am going to order a couple additional copies and donate them to our local library and school. I feel it's a must see presentation for non-hunters and hunters.
