Arrow flight questions?

Deer Slayer

I shoot longbows and recurves both in the 50-55# range.

I shoot CX Heritage 250 arrows cut 30 1/4" fom BOH to the nock throat. I have 100gr brass inserts and out of most of my bows I shoot anywhere from 145-160 heads depending on the bow and get great arrow flight.

Well I somewhat recently got a RER LX 53# @ 28" and I noticed the arrows flying a bit tail right with the 145gr heads. So I figured they were spined a little heavy for the LX. I decided to try some 175gr and 200gr heads (with the 100gr insert still)and low and behold the arrows flew beautifully out of the bow! But what really surprised me was that to my eyes, I could tell no difference in arrow flight in either the 175 or 200gr heads. Now nobody has ever accused me of being smart, but it seems there is a significant difference from 145gr to 175 and from 175 to 200. I have been into Trad archery for a little over 3 years, and I still scratch my head at the whole arrow tuning thing and how every bow seems to go from slightly different to extremely differnt in arrow spine and point weight.

I just wanted to post my little discovery today LOL. I'm sure someone will point out some obvious fact that I didn't realize, but the joy of discovery from tinkering with trad equipment still keeps me smiling and enjoying myself as well as SCRATCHING my head!!

Oh yeah and on a side note, this LX smokes my 650+ arrows AND shoots where I look! RER has made a GREAT shooting bow in my opinion!

Doesn't tail left mean underspined?
