fletching jig

I was going to get a fletching jig. Does anyone have any opions on what to get. I'm just starting out and want to repair bad fletching. Thanks.

I hear Bitzenberger's are the "top of the line". That's what I use. I like it alot.

They're more expensive than others so maybe just for repairing fletchings now and then you may want something a little less?

I use a 6 arrow jojan which is easy to use and convenient for the numbers of arrows I need to fletch. A summer camp sure rips off a lot of fletchings

I am using the Bohning fletcher it looks like a nock off of the Bitz and I like it and it is cheap. I bought the helical clamp one.

If you think you may be fletching often in the future, I'd drop the money and get a bitzenburger. Heck, you could probably hand it down to your kids someday and it would still work. Just like any other tool, buy good tools and you won't have to worry about them working. Just my opinion, Matt

In 35 years I have worn out several Bitz's and there is no warrenty. I currently use the jojan multi and it is easier and faster. I got it by way of trade and didn't intend to keep it till I used it once.

The jojan multi fletcher has been my work horse for 15+ years, It's simple, it's cheap (cost) and it works great.

I use the Martin J-8 Fletching jig that I bought in the mid-80s.
Literally MANY!! arrows from that thing.
Still works like the first day I got it.

I use a Bpe, because I can loosen a screw, and change the nock position in relation to the feathers. A big plus when tuning.
