A bit of mind flatulance here...
On the regular red gaskets there is a bit of taper in the holes. Does the taper face up into the sky or down into the lacquer?
Couldn't tell you how many dozens of arrows I've dipped and all of a sudden I can't think which way the gasket goes.

The taper is from the shaft wearing the gasket down.  If you start getting to much GL on the shaft you'll need a new gasket.  But, anyway it faces up towards you.

Thanks, Paul. I had about given up on anyone replying.

I like the taper down, that way you get a little thicker coat when you dip. Sometimes with a new gasket it squeegees all the lacquer off the shaft.
