Cant this be repaired?

Hi all looking for some advice. This is a customers bow that was handed down to him. I told him I would see if there is anything that could be done? His tip is delaminating.
So if anyone has an idea or knows of someone I sure would like to hear about it.

Dave:

A little Loctite 420 and a clamp and it will be as good as new. Make sure there is nothing in that crack that doesn't belong before the glue and clamp.
the Loctite is a very thin CA glue that will be sucked in to the crack by capillary action and is extremely strong. I've repaired worse de-laminations than that and their still being used.

Is that from water damage??
If it is water damage would that still take a bond??

Might want to suggst a new string while he has it in the shop.  That serving is looking pretty worn.

Fellas its an old bow from "Sabre Archery" outa NJ. Never heard of them myself. The fella had originally came in just for a string, but I pointed out the tip damage to him.
So thats why i came on here; I knew someone would have a solution.

I send him away with a bow stringer too, that tip looks like it has been stuck into the ground many times stringing the bow.

Dave, when you put glue in the cracks. pull & push them so the glue gets deep down in there. Them clamp it down, Not to tight to rob the lams of glue. I would also put a tip protector on that tip too for extra insurance and to save the tip better.

Amen to the Loctite 420.  It is a great penetrating super glue.  It will set fast so get on it!

I cannot tell from the photo if that is the lower limb, but it appears to have some edge wear as well as the delam.

I might also suggest painting on a light coat of 2 part epoxy over the tip after the Loctite has set.  It might take a small fine tooth rattail to clean that out, but should be good.  If the lower limb, the protector is a great idea.
