Does anyone shoot the Carbon Express Heritage arrows in a Shrew. I am shooting a 29.25" arrow 150gr tip in 47lb to 49lb shrews and wondered if the 250 size was to stiff? I have heritage 90's they are to weak was thinking maybe 150's if I ever went the Carbon express arrow route again but have a trade offer that includes several dozen 250's new and uncut. Thanks for any feedeback!

Just load up the tip if they are too stiff.  I know a guy who is shooting 400gr up front on some 250 in a 45lb longbow.  You can also leave them long too.

150 should be perfect. 250 way too stiff for your set up. Try cutting the 90's as short as possible and adding a wrap to the fletching end. Also, decrease point weight. Or build up you sideplate.Otherwise, buy a dozen 150's.

150's. I'm shooting 150's out of a 53# recurve with 225 grains up front.  Joe

I shoot 30" 250's and I'm pretty sure you'd have to heavily front-load yours to get good flight.  Might not be a bad idea to try it with a shaft or two, just expect to put a bunch of weight out there.

I'm shootin' an SAIII at your same draw weight and basically to shoot a 250 CE, I need to add so much weight up front that, by the time I'm tuned, I'm above 12 grains per pound.  I can nock another arrow before the first one gets to the target!

My 47# Shrew liked 150's cut to 30" with 145 gr tips.  It also liked 150's cut to 29" with 200 gr tips.
I'm only as good as my first shot.
