how much will cutting a 1/2 inch off an aluminum arrow affect the spine of the shaft. Thanks for any help guys.

It will stiffen the spine alittle, but you need to shoot it to see how the dynamic spine is affected.Alot of variables and it depends on how the riser is cut,off center, past center?

Steven:
Cutting 1/2" off should not effect the spine enough to matter. It will depend where in your usable spine range that shaft falls. Normally I don't recalculate spine until 1" difference. There has been so much misinformation on the internet that people are believing the spine calculation is rocket science, its not and not that prescise
