Hi All,
Just wanted to confirm something.  I read on a website there is no change in spine when adding the weight tubes to the arrows.  Is this true?
Best,
Dave
A man's worth can be determined by the number of friends at his funeral- unless they all hunt too!!

Not personal experience, but I believe most find they effect the spine very little if at all.

There's some jargon about dynamic spine versus static spine...I'll leave that to the more informed, but believe most guys haven't had to retune.

I just dropped some in my new ara's i made up and i found they tuned the same as those without the tubes.
IE...doing their job and increasing weight.
Granted the bow isnt being shot from a machine (something we do in the wheely world) SO i am not gonna say they dont effect "spine".

PS Try to figure out dynamic spine vs static without a computer is impossible...too many factor to calculate.

They do not change the spine except for the extra weight. Anytime you slow the shaft down (with exrta weight) it will shoot stiffer. We have found the 2 and 3 gr per inch tubes makes is very small difference and not effect flight on most shafts.
But if you use the 8 gr per inch tubes, you will see a difference. adding 240 grs or so will slow the shaft a lot.

I noticed no change in bare or fletched shaft flight. Though one could justify in theory it would change the dynamic spine, neither I or anyone else I know that shoots them see any difference.
