came across a nice mahogany board and was wondering if it would be any good for making a bow. i've always thought of it a soft hardwood.

penny for your thoughts

thanks charlie

I have used it to make guitars.  It is very heavy.

It makes a great turkey call.  Any of the box type calls.  I wouldn't be comfortable with it as main riser material (maybe a strip for a highlight), but it wouldn't hurt in a limb veneer for a laminated bow.
