Bow Fit - Anyone use it?

I saw an exercise device called the Bow Fit in the Black Widow catalog and wonder if anyone has used it and what your opinion is?

Bowfit, is, in my humble opinion, the best thing since sliced bread.

Last spring, I sustained an arm and shoulder injury while on professional training. I found, to my horror, that I could not pull my bow. Period. The motion was painful and the strength was not there. Pretty disheartening.

Anyhow, I got the bowfit as a last ditch stand and started working out with it a few times a day. Maybe 5 minutes per session. Initially, there was a bit of pain to slog through but after a few days I got my strength back and after a few weeks, no pain whatsoever. After that, I was pulling my bow again no problem.

I swear by this device. It is worth its weight in gold.  And no, I do not get a commission! When I find something good, I like to tell folks about it. You can adjust the weight of the pull simply by doubling up the cord. It is simple and extremely effective.

I got one yesterday from Cabelas...it makes a very compact and portable exercising tool.

I see nothing, but good with it.

I had one and used it every day, but I would advise to get the heavier one.  The lighter one was way too light.  I had to double or triple up the bands to get anywhere close to 40# pull.  The thing also broke on me after about 6 months of use and it couldn't be repaired.

Got a used on -- Used it at work when I wanted to take a break -- being new to Trad - it really helped to condition the proper muscle groups to allow me to start on form and not worry about the weight of the bow... I still have mine in my office.... My 2 cents worth...

I used the BowFits to rebuild my shooting muscles after shoulder surgery and cancer. The heavy model is the best for the weights most of us use. I also got the Safari model which is good for heavier weight training. I use my heavy model regularly at home and take it with me on all my trips. It can be used along with body weight exercises (i.e., pushups, situps, etc.) and stretching to give you full body workouts as well as bow specific training. I think the BowFit is a very simple but outstanding device for archers. If mine breaks I will buy another one. I understand Robert's enthusiasm as stated in his post above, and I agree wholeheartedly with everything he said.

I carry mine in the truck with me,draw it right hand then left.I  hook the loop over my foot and put my elbow on my leg and do curls. It's hard to find exercise equipment compact enough for a truck driver to carry with him.
