So, would it really confuse them if I sent a tube with wooden corners added so it doesn't roll?

A couple triangular plywood pieces with a hole cut out to fit the tube and epoxied in place near each end cap keeps the tube from rolling off of conveyors.  Learned this one while working at the airlines and often traveling with my longbow.  Works great.
