Anyone have a Thunderhorn boa?

If you have a Thunderhorn boa quiver, I was wondering how you like it?

I have one I use  on a one piece longbow and I am pleased with it.

I have one. It's a good quiver, but I like their Linx quiver even better. It's more expensive but worth it IMHO. The adjustable bar between the hood and the arrow holder means absolutely no slipping. The arrows also angle back, so the fletches are behind the lower limb of your bow...nice in the brush. The boa is now my backup/loaner quiver. Check out the Linx on Thunderhorn's website and you'll see what I am talking about.

I have a Boa sidewinder small fry for a side mount Predator recurve. I did have a standard or full size Boa but thought it was a little to heavy or bulky. Love the small fry 4 arrow though. Quality on the Thunderhorn Boa is excellant. Also have an Eagles Flight strap on a Treadway longbow and a Shrew limb bolt quiver on a SR Swift. All three are excellant quivers on the proper bow. I will tell you I am now sold on the side mount quiver type arrangement. Wish I had the inserts on all my bows. Very easy to maintain or remove.

I'm with Dave on this. I don't put any other quiver on my bows. I love the way they stay put and hold the arrows. No other quiver will do.

I also have a Thunderhorn small fry on my Howatt Mamba.  Holds 4 arrows and is extremely light.  I think its great!

I like the Lynx as well quite a bit.Had a side mount as well as the regular strap on.

Hey guys, don't mean to hijack the thread. I have a Linx on my Morrison Cheyenne. I was checking to see how it fit on a Silvertip. With the thicker and wider limbs of the 'Tip, it seemed like the Linx would have to be attatched near the end of the fadeouts. Is this OK instead of being right against the riser.

I'm having a new 'Tip built and am just trying to figure which quiver to go with.

I have a Thunderhorn Lynx and like the way it angles the fletching back out of the way.

I've been using a small fry for a few years now and it is just excellent.   I have the style with the rubber strap that quick-releases and it works well.  I have occasionally found the quiver slid up the limb on my recurve so I have to slide it back down and resecure the strap...I suppose that would vary from bow to bow.

A.S I got the lynx on my Toelke recurve and it has pretty wide limbs at the fadeouts.Not sure if its is wide as the Silvertip but its gotta be pretty close.I wrestled with it a bit and got it pretty far down the fadeouts and was able to secure the strap.Try moving it down a bit more and grab the rubber strap with a pair of vice grips and get more leverage to pull the strap to fit over the last hole.Just dont damage the straps ofcourse.The rubber is pretty strong though in my experience

Your placement may be okay but in general lower is better especially if you have a long draw and are really working the limbs more into the fadeouts.Try to get it lower if possible.

Two of my Firebird are set up with Thunderhorn boa 6 arrows , never had any problems with them or slid on the limbs , love them !.

I have and use 3 of the small fry Boa's on longbows and recurves. Excellent bow quivers.

On recurve or longbow...works great ! And you don't need to unstring to mount or unmount it.

I wet the limbs a bit and slide mine into place as deep into the fades as reasonable, always making sure they are even, and they are rock solid.
